Precisely the Time

As we all near the end of another school year, as students or parents of students, we have decided this month’s art challenge is GRIT.

One definition: Grit is a combination of passion and perseverance for long-term goals. It’s the ability to work hard, stay focused, and maintain resilience in the face of challenges, setbacks, and even failures. Essentially, grit is about sustained effort towards meaningful goals over time. Sometimes I think about grit as a form of faithfulness, which someone said is “long obedience in the same direction” (Nietzsche? Bonhoeffer?).

Feel free to share anything creative that touches this idea…the range here is very, very broad!

If grit feels too abstract/challenging, a secondary art challenge can be GROWING THINGS (which is definitely a part of grit!).
